Branch History
In February of 1952, the Montana Avenue Branch Library opened as a storefront library in a rented building at 1528-30 Montana Ave. After seven years, the thriving branch was in need of more space, so a larger facility was found at its current location and reopened to the public on March 1, 1960. In 2002, the branch underwent major renovations, including the addition of a community room.
