We’re packing up the books and heading back to the shore for more fun in the sun with SMPL at the Beach, Southern California’s only beachside pop-up library. Play games and enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities like Seaside Storytime. Sign out books from our collection of beach reads, and kick back, relax and read in our Surfside Lounge. The beach pop-up library is a great place to log those summer reading hours.

Reading Takes You Everywhere Drawing Entry Rules and Regulations
Eligibility: The 2018 Reading Takes You Everywhere drawing is open to Santa Monica Public Library cardholders with an account that is current and in good standing as of August 18, 2018. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older, and must register for Adult Summer Reading with any Santa Monica Public Library location between June 9, 2018 and August 18, 2018. Employees of Santa Monica Public Library and the City of Santa Monica and their immediate families are ineligible.
Entry deadline: Summer reading participation cards must be returned to the Santa Monica Public Library by the close of business (5:30pm) on Saturday, August 18, 2018 to be eligible for the prize drawing.
Participation Cards: Summer reading participation cards may be obtained from any Santa Monica Public Library location beginning on June 9, 2018. Completed participation cards may be returned to any Santa Monica Public Library location by August 18, 2018.
Entry limitations: One entry allowed per Santa Monica Public Library cardholder in good standing. Santa Monica Public Library reserves the right to deny any late, incomplete, or ineligible entries.
Drawing and Prize Limitations: Drawings for prizes will be conducted at random. Prize winners will be notified via email or telephone of their prize and how the prize can be claimed. To claim prizes, prize winners will be required to show a current government-issued identification. Prizes have no cash value and cannot be returned or exchanged for other prizes. Santa Monica Public Library reserves the right to modify prizes as necessary.
