How can teens volunteer/earn service credit?

Teens in grades 7-12 can volunteer or earn service credit hours in a variety of fun and creative ways at the library. Please email Teen Services Librarian, Gia Forsyth, with any questions: gia.forsyth@santamonica.gov

Volunteering at the Santa Monica Library is an ongoing program with no one-time opportunities. Volunteers have to complete an interview and orientation before they can begin volunteering. Please keep this in mind if you are required to perform community service by a specific deadline.

How can teens join Teen Leadership Council?

Teen Leadership Council meets at the library once a month and helps determine what kind of programs the library should host for teens. Council members earn volunteer/service credit hours for participating. For any questions about Teen Leadership Council, email Teen Services Librarian, Gia Forsyth: gia.forsyth@santamonica.gov
