  • Online Account Services

    The Library's online catalog offers a variety of functions to help you manage your patron account.  You will need to login with your library card number and PIN to access your account. Your 4-digit PIN (personal identification number) number was assigned to you when you registered for your library card.

    Logging in to Your Account

    The system offers two login options: session level and task level.

    Session Level: This option allows you to login once for an entire session. The session level login function appears in the upper right corner of most online catalog screens, as depicted below:

    Task-Level Login: If you have not performed a session-level login, the system will prompt you for your library card number and PIN each time you use an account-specific function. This option is available for users who want to ensure that they are logged out as soon as the password-protected function is complete

    Viewing Items On Loan

    1. Select the My Account menu option from the online catalog
    2. Click on the Review My Account link
      If you have not performed a session-level login, respond to the prompts to enter your library card number and PIN and then click on the Display User Information button
    3. Click on the Checkouts link to see details on any items currently on loan

    Placing and Managing Hold Requests

    Placing Holds

    1. Search for a title of interest in the online catalog
    2. Click on the Place Hold button
    3. If you have not performed a session-level login, respond to the prompts to enter your library card number and PIN
    4. Specify your preferred pickup location
    5. Click on the Place Hold button
    6. Click on OK

    Managing your Hold Requests

    1. Select the My Account menu option from the online catalog
    2. Select the Review My Account option
    3. If you have not performed a session-level login, respond to the prompts to enter your library card number and PIN and then click on the Display User Information button
    4. Click on the Holds link to see a list of your outstanding holds
    5. To cancel one or more holds, click on the checkbox to the left of the title(s) and then click on the Cancel Selected Holds button
    6. Click on OK to proceed

    Changing Your PIN

    For privacy and security reasons, forgotten PIN numbers are not provided over the phone. If you do not know your PIN, please bring a current Photo ID to one of our four locations and ask the Customer Service staff to assign you a new PIN.

    1. Select the My Account menu option from the online catalog
    2. Select the User PIN Change option
    3. If you have not performed a session-level login, respond to the prompts to enter your library card number and PIN
    4. Enter your new PIN as prompted
    5. Click on the Change PIN link

    Viewing Outstanding Fines and Fees

    1. Select the My Account menu option from the online catalog
    2. Select the Review My Account option
    3. If you have not performed a session-level login, respond to the prompts to enter your library card number and PIN and then click on the Display User Information button
    4. Click on the Bills link
